Submission Guidelines for Authors
Thank you for considering Psychology of Singularity as a potential platform for your work. We welcome submissions from both emerging and established authors. Before submitting your manuscript, please carefully review the following guidelines to ensure your submission meets our criteria:
- Read Our Magazine: Read recent issues or the About page to familiarize yourself with our purpose. Understanding our editorial style, tone, and the types of content we publish will help you tailor your submission appropriately.
- Genre and Theme: Psychology of Singularity accepts submissions on the effects advanced technology has on the human psyche. The manuscript must be research-based. Additionally, we may have specific themes or topics for upcoming issues. Please check our submission guidelines or announcements for any theme-related calls.
- Formatting: Ensure your manuscript is formatted according to our guidelines. Typically, we prefer submissions in APA format: double-spaced, 12-point font, Times New Roman with 1-inch margins. Include your name, contact information, and word count on the first page.
- Key Words: Provide keywords in the article title, the abstract, and the body of the manuscript. Provide backlinks in the body of the manuscript.
- Word Count: We have a specific word count limit of 2,000 words, excluding the references page. Please adhere to these limits to improve the chances of your submission being considered. If your piece exceeds the word count, consider revising it or submitting it in parts.
- Originality: We only accept original work not previously published elsewhere, including online platforms, personal blogs, or social media. Simultaneous submissions are discouraged; inform us promptly if your submission is accepted elsewhere. We do not accept manuscripts that AI wrote. By submitting a manuscript, you acknowledge that AI did not write your content. Having AI edit for grammar and sentence structure is accepted.
- Submission Process: Please email your manuscript (Contact Us). Include a brief cover letter introducing yourself and your submission. Do not submit your manuscript in the body of the email—attach a Word document with a title page and an abstract.
- Response Time: We strive to respond to all submissions within 2-3 days. If you haven’t heard from us after this period, feel free to inquire about the status of your submission.
- Rights: By submitting your work to Psychology of Singularity, you grant us the first serial rights to publish your work if accepted. Upon publication, rights revert back to the author. We may also request the right to archive and feature your work on our website or in future anthologies.
- Editing: While we may perform minor edits for clarity or style, we expect submissions to be polished and free of grammatical errors. Please proofread your work thoroughly before submission. If the publisher approves and accepts the author’s manuscript, the author gives the Publisher all rights to edit the manuscript for grammar, clarity, or APA formatting to align with the magazine.
Thank you for considering Psychology of Singularity for your submission. We look forward to reading your work and potentially featuring it in our publication.
